S.Samba Murthy, M.Sc., PGDCA, and Diploma in German, is a distinguished educator and researcher with a strong background in botany. He has amassed extensive teaching experience, serving as a Research Assistant in the Botany Department at S.U. University, a lecturer, and eventually progressing to become the Head of the Department of Botany. His expertise extends beyond academia, as he has also held administrative roles such as Controller of Examinations in an Autonomous College and Assistant Coordinator at the IGNOU Study Centre, K.B.N. College. A dedicated advocate for community service, he has contributed as an NSS Coordinator and Secretary of RCTA Unit-3, Vijayawada, where he has been actively involved in initiatives like supporting S.V. Temple. His research pursuits have led to the publication of articles exploring the effects of phenolics on plant growth, underscoring his dedication to advancing scientific knowledge.
